Our Eco Do (Eko Do) Dojo is not-profit not big independent
Traditional Dojo. This based in Daugavpils, Latvia.
Eco Do Dojo was created in 1982 and 1983 as an under-ground Home
Dojo. During the soviet time science 1982 studying of Karate was forbidden in
Latvia. Therefore we took up under - ground. Soviet police “Miliciya”
persecuted us; some enthusiasts of Karate of USSR were convicted.
But we continued emphatically to study Kempo Karate. So we kept
our training in secret. We had our training in the forest or during the night.
After 15 years, the Soviet Union collapsed. After the liberation of Latvia and
Martial arts legalization, we continued our training as independent democratic
and non-commercial traditionally under-ground Eco Do Dojo.
We see Martial Arts as a Combat Martial Arts without politics
and limits in styles and ways of thinking. We pay attention to psychology and
ecological philosophy in development of the spirit of the students.
